DNPD Therapy

Dr. Zhao and Dr. Wang undertook an exclusive advanced training in DNPD Technique under Dr. Lin Shengqin who is a famous Chinese Medicine Doctor from Taiwan with many years of medical practice. Over the last 40 years of studies and research, Dr. Lin invented a medical system utilizing a deep negative pressure drainage (DNPD) technique to help his patients with serious or rare diseases. This DNPD therapy is primarily based on traditional cupping and acupuncture. Through deep negative pressure drainage, blood clots and waste products in the blood are cleared from the patient's body, to treat and prevent diseases such as stroke, hemiplegia, myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction, and dementia including Alzheimer's disease. It is also suitable for some complicated diseases without a clear diagnosis, or conversely, diseases with a clear diagnosis lacking an ideal treatment or medicine, such as severe eye diseases, sequelae of Covid, pulmonary embolism, etc.

This treatment method does not require surgery and so does not cause invasive or structural damage to human tissues. It only involves acupuncture combined with professional equipment and techniques to absorb blood clots and other blockages in the blood vessels. As the patient's internal pressure decreases and the blood and oxygen supply to the presenting concern are improved, the patient's symptoms may be relieved rapidly, and in some cases even for a long time.

In recognition of Dr. Lin Shengqin’s creative inventions as well as his outstanding contributions to Chinese Medicine, in 2023, the international authoritative media Discovery Channel carried extensive coverage of Dr. Lin in interviews from Beijing.

At the end of May 2025, Dr. Daniel Wang and Dr. Anna Zhao were given a rare opportunity to train under Dr. Lin Shengqin at his center in Taiwan, to learn his deep negative pressure drainage technique. To date, only ten TCM doctors in the world have had this training.

A DNPD Therapy session at Whispering Willow Wellness Clinic usually takes a few hours and the effort of both Dr. Wang and Dr. Zhao. This long of a session and the dedicated time with both doctors increases the fee far beyond our usual acupuncture rates, but it is a remarkable possibility now available only with us.

If you are interested in this treatment method, please call Whispering Willow Wellness Clinic and we will be more than happy to answer your questions.

Deep-Needle Eye Therapy

Dr. Zhao also had special training in TCM Ophthalmology, and she offers a unique eye therapy to her patients with eye problems:

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), eyes are closely related to the internal organs. Your immune system, genetic make up, lifestyle, stress, diet, and daily activities have a strong impact on your vision. Your body has specific acupuncture points in our meridians. When these points are flowing smoothly, you are free from eye diseases. However, when a blockage appears there, pain and illness result.

Deep-Needle Eye Therapy is a special type of acupuncture. It may be beneficial to many complex ophthalmic diseases such as severe myopia, glaucoma, eye floaters, dry eyes, cataracts, retinopathy, macular degeneration etc.

The founder of Deep-Needle Eye Therapy is Dr. Xie Qi, the Honorary Chairman and Special Advisor of the Malaysian Chinese Medicine Association. In his decades of therapeutic practice, he has helped relieve and cure many patients suffering from eye diseases, and was invited multiple times to give speeches abroad.

Dr. Zhao went to study Deep-Needle Eye Therapy from Dr. Xie Qi, and was recognized as one of his disciples.

During the last few years, Dr. Zhao has been using Deep-Needle Eye Therapy to treat some of the better-known eye disorders such as Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), Glaucoma, and Macular Degeneration. Most of her patients have shown measurable improvement and acknowledge that Deep-Needle Eye Therapy is an effective means of managing their chronic and degenerative eye diseases.

For those who are afraid of using Deep-Needle Eye Therapy, Dr. Zhao avoids needles in the eye socket; rather, she chooses related acupuncture points in limbs, abdomen etc. to treat eye disorders and vision loss. She also includes the use of oral formulations of herbs in varying combinations known to improve the eyes.

Please Note: If this is your initial visit for the eye acupuncture therapy, please arrive half an hour earlier so we have time to complete paperwork.
